Tates Travel is a family owned
business with many years experience in the coach, bus and minibus
industry. Our company operates coaches from Sheffield,
Barnsley & Dewsbury in West Yorkshire and is split into three
divisions. Our vehicles are maintained in our 6000
sq ft workshops in Barnsley. They are vigorously maintained and
safety inspected as approved by the Ministry of Transport.
We operate School contracts on behalf of SYPTE and commercial School
contracts.
Our service buses operate routes in the Barnsley area,
with modern low floor Volvo buses.
Our fleet of 70 seaters are ideal for
Schools as 2 classes can travel on 1 coach. The cost is generally
far less than 2 standard coaches. These vehicles have all been
converted to 70 seaters and have had a vigorous Ministry of
Transport approved check prior to coming into service. We
started in 2001 with one 70 seater and such is the demand for them
we now operate 4 in the group. They all have full 3
point car type seat belts and some are fitted with T.V. and video
facilities. We are one of only a very few operators who have
this type of coach and early booking is essential. No other
operator in the Barnsley / Wakefield / Dewsbury / Sheffield area
have this type of vehicle, so demand for them is always high.
